  UTF about us

The Universal Taekwondo Federation is one of the faster growing WTF groups in Britain. We host regular competitions including the prestigious British International Open. We also have regular squad training, referee courses and coaching courses.
The UTF are a group member of the British Taekwondo Control Board and are afilliated via the BTCB to the World Taekwondo Federation, European Taekwondo Union, British Taekwondo Council, UK Sport and the British Olympic Association.

To continuously improve the standard of WTF Taekwondo in Great Britain
To put martial arts first and foremost
Aims:
To provide the highest standards of teaching through the continuous development of our coaching programme and syllabus
To promote the development of the martial art and sport aspects of Taekwondo
To enable full participation in Taekwondo by all people, irrespective of race, sex, disability, or religion
To promote the Tenets, ethics and etiquette inherent in WTF Taekwondo and Hapkido
To provide a pathway for all competitors from grass roots to world class level in both poomse and sparring
To develop, nurture and support all UTF athletes

British Universities Sports Association (BUSA): BUSA is the governing body of university sport. BUSA is responsible for organising the inter-university sports programme nationally and co-ordinating the UK representative teams for the World University Championships and the World University Games.

Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd: Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd is the performance arm of the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB) for Olympic Taekwondo.

Talented Athlete Sponsorship Scheme: The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, or TASS as it is better known, is a Government funded programme that represents a unique partnership between sport and higher and further education. The programme awards Scholarships and Bursaries to talented athletes that are committed to combining their sport and education. It aims to reduce the drop out of talented athletes from sport and supports and develops the talent of today for sporting success in the future.

World Taekwondo Federation: The World Taekwondo Federation is the International Federation [IF] governing the sport of Taekwondo and is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations [ASOIF]. The WTF recognizes national Taekwondo governing bodies recognized by the NOC in the pertinent country, one in each country, as its members.
